The HVAC tech was really great! He explained everything from how the A/C system works, what the gauges tell you about the system, how he was able to diagnose the problem, and what he was going to do to fix the problem. He also showed me how the system was running cooler after he made the repair. I really appreciated the fact that he also spent the time to give me an education in the process. Great job!

Casey arrived about six hours after I had called about a boiler that would not start; apparently I called on a very busy Saturday. He checked a air scoop that was clearly leaking, and lit the pilot. Fired right up and began heating the house. He thought that a part that feeds the pilot might be on its way out. He was hesitant to start replacing parts after seeing that all was working, and he chalked up the extinguished pilot to strong winds the night before. He explained everything he was doing and made sure I was ok to leave the system as is unless the pilot fails again. He was thoroughly courteous and respectful from start to finish. While I was glad to have heat and a better understanding of my system, the $150 bill is still painful, considering he lit the pilot for me. One must pay for education, I suppose. Moreover, this is preferable to him replacing a bunch of parts unnecessarily and really digging into my wallet.
